How Can a Painful Lump In The Groin Be Treated?

I am a 42 year old white female. I have a mass in the groin area of my upper inner thigh. Left leg. No pain or tenderness. Nothing on the surface of the skin to indicate a ingrown hair or abscess. I have bruising all over the top of my thigh and now it is starting on my right thigh (the bruising). I have been very tired almost to an extreme point. I have also lost 20 pounds since January 1, but I have been on weight watchers so I know some of that is legit. I am having an ultrasound tomorrow on the mass. Should I be worried or is there anything I should make sure they look for?

likely possibility is that you have a inguinal lymph node enlargement. make sure during ultrasound the radiologist looks for any necrosis in the swelling and exact size is measured, that will help to decide what next is required.
